The rooms were very authentic Greek caves and along with the amazing views this made for a memorable stay. The problem is that it is over crowded with tourists and you can't feel relaxed the same way you can on Spiliotica. And now after we have experienced both Fira and Oia I can tell you that the view from Spiliotica is just stunning. I can't put words on it! From the balcony we could see all the way to Oia and watch the beautiful sunset every day. The service overall was great, you can relax, enjoy the silence. We will definitely come back!! | 5 |

The staff (both at the reception and the bar) are incredibly nice and helpful. But there are a number of important problems: the room isn't as clean as it should be and this isn't because of the cleaning staff - i think they're doing a fine job. The pillows were old and turned yellow because of other people's sweat, i don't think this should be acceptable. Similarly, the bathroom was quite old. There were pipes coming out of the bathroom floor for no reason. It just seemed very sloppy and unfit for a romantic hotel. Also, the amenities around the pool seem inadequate. Especially over the weekend, it was difficult to find a spot. Overall, i enjoyed my time at Spiliotica but that's mostly because i am a relaxed type and didn't plan this to be the ultimate romantic holiday. If i did, i could have left the hotel feeling sorry. However, i think all these problems can be fixed with a little investment and i strongly recommend that you do so. | 4 |

They take the time to get to know every guest personally and are there to help whenever needed. The property is best for adults as there are lots of hills, stairs and cobblestone paths. Carrying or chasing after small children could be challenging. We're an older group but had no issues with the terrain. We loved the beautiful sunsets, views, personal attention and exercise that this hotel and area provided due to being built directly into the cliffs. Spilotica is about a 30 minute walk into town on an interesting path. There are stores, restaurants and beautiful lookout spots along the way. It ends up taking longer but seems to go faster because of the things you encounter during the walk. As I mentioned the staff at the hotel is wonderful but so was everyone we encountered in Santorini. With very little exception everyone was welcoming and thrilled to have us as a guest on their island. I would definitely recommend this property and area as it's close enough to the heart of activity but far enough away to enjoy quiet, relaxing times away from the crowd. | 5 |

She made us feel very good and we where even a little sad to leave the hotel at the end. Such a good person. We had the Caldera suite (family room) with the jacuzzi and the perfect view. I can only say. AMAZINGGG. to wake up in the morning and enjoy such a view. The price for this hotel was really good for what you get. You can perfectly get to fira (by walking) or oia (by bus).
